Montréal, March 12, 2007 — Société générale de financement du Québec (SGF) is proud to announce that it is a partner and sponsor of the sixth edition of Biomedex, which will take place on March 28 and 29, 2007, at the Sheraton Hotel in Laval. This international conference will again attract hundreds of leading decision makers and professionals from Canada’s life sciences industry as well as many members of the health care and research networks.
In addition to acting as a financial partner of this pre-eminent annual event, SGF will be represented at it by its life sciences team. Moreover, Pierre Cantin, its Vice-President, Investments, Biopharmaceuticals, will serve as moderator of the workshop on Making partnerships happen with big pharma, which will take place on the morning of Thursday, March 29.
Life sciences, including prevention, therapeutics and services to healthcare network partners, represent a priority investment sector for SGF. As an investor, SGF acts as a catalyst for this rapidly growing industry, helping it achieve the critical size required to compete on international markets.
