Pétromont

Pétromont is a strategically located integrated company that operates two facilities in the greater Montréal area.

Pétromont manufactures and markets polyethylene resins using ethylene brought by pipeline to its Montréal plant. These resins are used to produce thermoplastics (bottles, packaging, sheets, pipes, membranes, etc.).

At its Varennes cracking plant, Pétromont generates several products that are further transformed by Québec industry, including propylene that enters in the manufacture of polypropylene produced at the nearby Basell plant. Pétromont is a subsidiary of Dow Chemicals (United States).
