CIPQ (Canadian Porcine Insemination Centre)
CIPQ is Canada's largest porcine insemination centre. Created in 1977, the CIPQ specializes in producing and commercializing pig semen. CIPQ supplies semen for 65% of pigs farmed in Québec.
The Centre can lodge more than 1,000 boars in several locations: two in Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon (Chaudière-Appalaches), two in Roxton Falls (Estrie), and another in Saint-Cuthbert (Lanaudière). CIPQ is an SGF subsidiary.
