SGF partners with Moisson Montréal
The government corporation will sponsor the charitable organization’s 5th golf tournament
Montréal, February 19, 2007 — Société générale de financement du Québec (SGF) is honoured to be the main sponsor of the 5e Classique de golf held by Moisson Montréal. This annual fund-raising activity helps the charitable organization carry out its mission all year long.
SGF President Pierre Shedleur has agreed with pleasure to serve as Honourary Chairman of the event. “I’m proud to be associated with Moisson Montréal, which strives every day to combat hunger and helps needy families find lasting solutions to poverty. This mission is vital, since many Montrealers suffer from hunger, including large numbers of children,” Mr. Shedleur stated.
SGF has a mission to carry out economic development projects that benefit Québec over the long term, in co-operation with partners. “Building a prosperous Québec for the long term also means striving to eliminate poverty,” Mr. Shedleur added.
Moisson Montréal will hold its 5e Classique de golf on June 11, 2007, at Club de golf Saint-Raphaël on Île-Bizard, not far from Montréal.
