SGF receives an Entraide Campaign award for the second straight year
SGF receives another Philanthrope award for the amount donated by employee
Montréal, February 27, 2008 — The employees of Société générale de financement du Québec (SGF) have received a Philanthrope award for the second straight year in recognition of their generosity during the Entraide 2007 campaign. This annual fund-raising campaign for Québec-government employees raises funds for Centraide/United Way, Partenairesanté-Québec and the Québec Division of the Canadian Red Cross.
The Entraide awards are presented to the organizations with the highest donations per employee. SGF received the highest distinction, a Philanthrope, in the category of organizations with fewer than 200 employees. The Philanthrope trophy presented to SGF recognizes excellence in the volunteer activities carried out by its employees.
SGF’s Entraide 2007 campaign took place from October 22 to 26, inclusive. SGF employees organized and took part in various activities all week long. In addition to the annual donation, initiatives such as an exhibit of photographs taken by employees, the sale of a calendar featuring the winning photos, the sale of home-made desserts and a pasta lunch sponsored by the Hôtel Intercontinental Montréal enabled SGF to donate a total of $90,822 to the Entraide 2006 campaign.
