Notice of appointement at SGF

Christine Beaubien is appointed Director, Investments, Information and Communication Technologies

Montréal, January 14, 2008 - Pierre Puglièse, Senior Vice-President, Investments, of the Technologies and Life Sciences Group, is pleased to announce that Christine Beaubien has joined his team as Director, Investments, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

An entrepreneur and manager with a proven track record, Ms. Beaubien has more than 25 years of experience in ICT, financial services, international business, risk management and financing. She has a degree in computer science from the Université de Sherbrooke and a Master of Business Administration from HEC Montréal.

Before joining SGF, Ms. Beaubien held various positions with Export Development Canada and Bombardier Capital, where she concluded major financial contracts with Québec exporters. More recently, as President of Versus, an ICT services firm she co-owned, Ms. Beaubien and her team succeeded in positioning the company as one of Canada’s fastest-growing businesses. She then successfully negotiated the sale of Versus to Fusepoint Managed Services. Previously, Ms. Beaubien worked for the Confédération des Caisses Populaires Desjardins, Banque Paribas in Paris and Québec’s Ministère des Affaires internationales. Ms. Beaubien is also a member of the board of directors of the Association of Financial Women of Québec.

In her career, Ms. Beaubien has acquired an excellent understanding of issues related to the growth and value enhancement of companies. She contributes significantly to the development of a company, using her three main areas of expertise, ICT, finance and international business, while drawing on her extensive network of contacts.
