Notice of appointment at SGF

André Petitclerc is appointed Director, Investments, Information and Communication Technologies Group

Montréal, April 17, 2007 – Pierre Puglièse, Senior Vice-President, Investments, Information and Communication Technologies Group, of Société générale de financement du Québec (SGF), is pleased to announce that André Petitclerc has joined his team as Director, Investments.
 
Mr. Petitclerc, who has a Bachelor of Business Administration and is a member of the Ordre des Comptables agréés du Québec, has more than 20 years of experience in financial management. In recent years, he has held various management positions at Desjardins Venture Capital, where he specialized in information technology portfolio management and business development.
 
Mr. Petitclerc has extensive entrepreneurship experience, having spent 10 years at IST, a major Québec information technology firm. After working on major financing projects at Bell Canada, he joined Sofinov, where he worked for more than two years with Québec entrepreneurs. Before joining Desjardins, he was Director, Mergers and Acquisitions, at BCE Emergis, where he was involved in major projects. He sits on the boards of several partner companies and that of InterlogiQ Network.
 
Mr. Petitclerc joins a seasoned team of ICT-sector specialists led by Pierre Puglièse. SGF invests in ICT, which form one of Québec’s largest industrial clusters. Montréal is a North American hotbed for the development of ICT companies, many of which have made a name for themselves with their quality manpower and ability to innovate.
