SGF and Heathmount still determined to build the Technolodome in Montreal.

Montréal, March 23, 2000 - "We are still determined to build the Technodome in the Port of Montreal", said Claude Blanchet, president of SGF, and Abraham Reichmann, president of Heathmount, today.

The two partners presented an offer on the land to the Port of Montreal authorities early last summer. "We are still waiting for a reply, they said, and this land is the key to our project because it is the only possible location in Canada where we can build this recreotourism site. Although we have been unable to start negotiations with the Port of Montreal, we have had several meetings, including with president Dominic Taddeo, which lead us to believe that we can reach an agreement. However, time is an important factor in carrying out this type of project because of international competition."

At a cost of $1 billion, Destination Technodome Montreal is a major investment project for Montreal and the surrounding area. Studies show that this project will realign the tourism industry and give Montreal a new dimension as a major North American destination, and that about 14,000 permanent direct and indirect jobs could be created, not counting the thousands of construction jobs.

"Sponsors with a world-wide reputation have also agreed to participate in this project, added Blanchet and Reichmann. As for how many people we expect the Technodrome to draw, studies of potential interest among Quebecers, other Canadians and Americans show that we should go ahead."
